BUIES CREEK, N.C. – After a grueling nonconference schedule, Campbell returns to CAA Football action at Hampton on Saturday, October 11. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m. at Armstrong Stadium in Hampton, Va.

- The Camels rank sixth in the FCS in turnovers gained, already with 11 on the season (four interceptions, seven fumbles), a mark that also leads the CAA.
- Campbell is 2-1 all-time against Hampton in a series that dates back to just 2019. All three previous meetings have come as conference opponents across two different leagues, the Big South and now the CAA.

LAST TIME OUT
NC State amassed 482 first half yards and defeated visiting Campbell 56-10 at Carter-Finley Stadium. In the first matchup of the Fighting Camels and Wolfpack in CU's modern era (since 2008), Hollywood Smothers rushed for 123 yards on four carries, including a 59-yard touchdown run, all in the first half, helping NC State build a 49-7 lead at the halftime break.
Saturday's matchup was the third all-time for the Camels against an ACC opponent (at Wake Forest, 2020; at North Carolina, 2023). The sellout crowd of 56,919 marked the most fans to attend a Campbell football game (any venue) in program history.
The Wolfpack totaled 607 offensive yards in the win, including 371 through the air and 236 rushing, powered by a 28-point second quarter.
LEADING THE CAMELS
Kamden Sixkiller has thrown for 1,185 yards and nine touchdowns, completing nearly 60 percent of his passes.
Randall King has also hauled in 28 catches for 333 yards and five touchdowns.
JJ Cowan has also rushed for 211 yards, combining for three touchdowns.
Defensively,
Kalen Villanueva owns a team-high 39 tackles, with
Jojo Pace adding 37 stops. DeVonyae Pettis has also posted 3.5 tackles for loss with 3.0 sacks
THE MATCHUP: HAMPTON
Hampton heads into Saturday's matchup at 2-4 overall and 0-2 in CAA play, earning a 41-34 nonconference rivalry win over Norfolk State in the "Battle of the Bay" last weekend. The CAA's top rushing offense at 202.5 yards per game, the Pirate trio of Jah'Kei Chavis (270 total rushing yards), Isaiah Freeman (248) and Ja'Quan Snipes (234) have led a ground attack that has accounted for seven rushing scores. Defensively, Harold O'Neal III owns a team-high 54 tackles, including 3.5 stops for loss.
The Camels own a 2-1 edge in the all-time series with Hampton, all conference matchups across the Big South and CAA. Campbell took the previous meeting between the two, their only meeting as CAA opponents, 30-27 at Armstrong Stadium in 2023.
TOP-10 TURNOVER DEFENSE
With both a fumble recovery and an interception at NC State, Campbell now ranks sixth in the FCS in turnovers gained with 11 on the season. The Camels have recovered seven fumbles with four interceptions, also leading the CAA in turnovers gained.
