Camels host Elon in home finale

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell will host in-state and CAA foe Elon in its 2025 home finale on Saturday, November 15. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m. at Barker-Lane Stadium.

Saturday's game will be Senior Day, presented by McDonald's.

QUICK HITS
  • Prior to Saturday's game, Campbell will honor 15 seniors.
  • Elon owns a 3-0 mark all-time against the Camels, including 2-0 as CAA foes. This is Elon's third trip to Barker-Lane Stadium.
  • Next week, the Camels will close out the season at Towson (November 23).
  • Campbell is one of 31 FCS programs that will match up against at least two FBS opponents this season, and one of three CAA schools on the list, having faced East Carolina and NC State. Only UT Martin will play three FBS opponents this season.
  • Campbell begins the 18th season of its modern era of football (since 2008) in 2025.
  • Head coach Braxton Harris, the third head coach in Campbell's modern history, is in his second season at the helm in Buies Creek.
  • Three Camels played in the 2025 NFL Preseason, led by third year pro Julian Hill, who again made the Miami Dolphins' initial 53-man roster. Offensive line-men Mike Edwards (Buffalo) and Tyler McLellan (Tampa Bay) also saw time this preseason.
  • The 2025 Campbell team features 44 total returners and 56 newcomers, including 36 transfers and 20 freshmen.
  • Of Campbell's 44 total returners, the team welcomes back 11 total offensive or defensive starters, including six on offense and five on defense.

As always, all Campbell students with a valid CU ID card will receive a ticket free of charge to all home Fighting Camel home football games. Kids 12 and under can again receive free tickets while supplies last.

CLEAR BAG POLICY
Campbell University Athletics implements a clear bag policy that regulates the size and type of bag that may be carried into Campbell Athletics facilities, including Barker-Lane Stadium. Fans are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the new policies before arriving at the venue to minimize time spent searching bags at security checkpoints.

Bags that are approved include:
• Clear tote bags made of plastic, vinyl or PVC that do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″
• One-gallon clear plastic zip-style bags
• Small purses or clutch bags that do not exceed 6.5″ x 4.5"
• Medical or diaper bags must be accompanied by a child

Bags that are not permitted include:
• Backpacks
• Printed pattern or tinted plastic bags
• Drawstring bags
• Fanny packs
• Camera or binocular cases
• Large purses or bags

PEPSI TAILGATE TOWN IS BACK
For the third straight year, Pepsi Tailgate Town is your stop before heading inside Barker-Lane Stadium.

The football pregame experience, which debuted in 2023, is back and better than ever, featuring the same great, convenient location as last year, just outside the Barker-Lane Stadium gates.

Come hang out with other Fighting Camels before the game in the tailgate lots between Barker-Lane Stadium and Stadium View Apartments, where Campbell will host activities for the whole family, including food trucks, inflatables, yard games, music and face painting, as well as events from local businesses and organizations.

Pepsi Tailgate Town fires up three hours before kickoff for all six Campbell home dates this fall, closing just prior to kickoff.

LAST TIME OUT
Tyler Hughes' nine-yard touchdown run in overtime lifted visiting William & Mary over Campbell, 30-27, at Barker-Lane Stadium. The Tribe trailed 24-13 with 7:49 to go in the third before outscoring the Camels 11-0 in the fourth quarter, sending the game to overtime on Keegan Shackford's third field goal of the day, a 38-yarder.

Rashad Raymond's two-yard TD, set up by a 51-yard strike from Hughes to Armon Wright, followed by a successful two-point try from Hughes to Haven Mullins, brought the Tribe back within striking distance at 24-21 with 1:51 to play in regulation. W&M recovered the ensuing on-side kick to set up Shackford's kick.

Campbell scored on four of its first six drives of the game, including a pair of rushing touchdowns from JJ Cowan, to take a 24-13 lead before William & Mary's 11 unanswered points in the fourth quarter. Alex Crabb chipped in a 23-yard field goal for the Camels in overtime before Hughes' game-winning TD.

The game was Campbell's fifth one-score game of the season (1-4).

LEADING THE CAMELS
Kamden Sixkiller has thrown for 1,628 yards and 11 touchdowns, completing over 60 percent of his passes, while Randall King has hauled in 42 catches for 465 yards and five touchdowns. JJ Cowan has also rushed for a team-high 544 yards, coming off his second career 100-yard rushing performance last week (12 carries, 107 yards, 2 touchdowns), combining for nine touchdowns (eight rushing).

Defensively, Logan Livermon owns a team-high 69 tackles, gathering a career-high 13 stops against William & Mary, with Jojo Pace adding 64 tackles. DeVonyae Pettis has also posted 8.0 tackles for loss with 3.5 sacks.

THE MATCHUP: ELON
The Phoenix (4-6, 2-4 CAA) have dropped four-straight heading into Saturday's game against the Camels, including last week's 34-20 setback at home to No. 10 Rhode Island.
Landen Clark averages 186.2 passing yards per game, tossing 12 total TDs this season, adding 450 yards on the ground with seven touchdowns, with Isaiah Fuhrmann hauling in six scores and 680 yards on 38 catches. Jimmyll Williams adds 576 rushing yards with three more touchdowns, averaging 7.8 yards per carry. Defensively, Brody Carroll has tallied a team-high 84 tackles with 9.0 stops for loss and two forced fumbles.

Campbell is 0-3 all-time against Elon, meeting as CAA members for the third straight season. The Phoenix defeated visiting Campbell 50-27 last season in Elon, N.C.
