Baseball releases 2026 schedule

BUIES CREEK – Campbell baseball and head coach Chris Marx unveiled the 2026 season schedule on Friday afternoon.

The schedule features seven opponents that went to postseason play last year including College World Series Runner-up Coastal Carolina and Super Regional hosts Duke and North Carolina. Additionally, the schedule sees 12 opponents that finished last season in the RPI Top 100.

The Camels will compete against 19 different opponents and play a newly formatted conference slate this season. Campbell will play Charleston, North Carolina A&T, UNCW, and William & Mary both home and away while hosting Elon and traveling to Towson in conference action.

"We believe development happens through challenge and we have once again dialed up one of the best nonconference schedules in the country for 2026," said Marx. "I'm excited to watch our guys grow through the early part of the season as we prepare to make another leap in the CAA."

Campbell opens its 2026 campaign at Jim Perry Stadium hosting Cal Poly (Feb. 13-15) for the first time in program history before welcoming in-state foe East Carolina for a midweek matchup (Feb. 17).

The Camels will then be on the road for a three-game series at Troy (Feb. 20-22) and midweek contest at Coastal Carolina (Feb. 24). The squad concludes its non-conference series slate as it welcomes Wright State Feb. 27-Mar. 1 to JPS for its first ever meeting.

The Camels will open CAA play hosting William & Mary (Mar. 6-8) before facing UNC Charlotte (Mar. 10) in the midweek.

The squad hits the road for its first CAA road trip traveling to NC A&T (Mar. 13-15). Campbell then hosts a pair of midweek match ups against Duke on Mar.17 and Coastal Carolina on Mar.18.

Campbell returns to conference play on the road against Towson (Mar. 20-22) then travels just up the road to Raleigh to take on NC State Mar.24.

March concludes with a three-game set at Charleston from Mar.27-29 and a midweek clash with a Super Regional host last season in North Carolina.

In April conference play, the Camels will travel to William & Mary (Apr. 2-4) and Charleston (Apr. 24-26) and play host to UNCW (Apr. 10-12) and Elon (Apr. 17-19). Campbell will play a midweek contest each Tuesday of the month that includes home games against UNCG (Apr. 7) and High Point (Apr. 28) and road contests against UNCG (Apr. 14) and Charlotte (Apr. 21).

The Camels open the month of May hosting its final games at JPS as it welcomes NC A&T from May 1-3.

Campbell rounds out the regular season with its longest road swing of the season beginning with a midweek at Charlotte on May 5. The Camels then travel to Boiling Springs to take on Gardner-Webb (May 9) and Bradley (May 9-10).

The Camels will take on ECU in its final midweek contest of the season on May 12 before concluding the regular season with a quick road trip to Wilmington to take on UNCW (May 14-16).

The 2026 CAA Baseball Championship will be hosted by UNCW at Brooks Stadium from May 20-23.

Campbell is coming off Marx's first season at the helm as he led the Camels to a 25-31 record, and a slate that ranked ninth in non-conference strength of schedule. The 2026 squad looks to build upon last year as it returns 23 players and welcomes 19 newcomers to the program.
