At 141 pounds, Hanna is the 17 seed in the tournament. He finished his season with a second place finish at the SoCon Championship. During the regular season, he held a 22-7 record that included a fourth place finish at the Southern Scuffle and a second place finish at the Franklin & Marshall Open.

Hanna will face the No. 16 seed Wyatt Henson from Lock Haven in the first round. Henson won the MAC individual title and is wrestling in his third NCAA Championships. He has a 1-4 record at the event. This past summer, he finished second at the USA U23 Team Trials and helped Team USA to a gold medal at the U23 Pan-American Championships.

Denkins received an at-large selection at 149 pounds, and he's slotted as the 32 seed. He was one of four SoCon wrestlers to receive an at-large bid. Denkins has the second-most victories this year (32) of any wrestler at any weight in the NCAA Championship.

Denkins will first face the No. 33 seed, Teague Travis from Oklahoma State. At a 4-3 record, Travis missed most of the season due to injury. However, he made his return in the Big 12 Championship and finished fourth, receiving the conference's final automatic bid to the tournament. He was the No. 16 seed at 157 pounds in last year's NCAA Championship.

Hopkins will participate in his third NCAA Championship after claiming his third SoCon title at 197 pounds. He recorded 20 wins prior to postseason play, including a 7-0 performance in duals against SoCon opponents. In fact, Hopkins never lost in a dual meet against a SoCon opponent in his entire career.

His first round opponent is the No. 12 seed, Stephen Little of Arkansas Little Rock. A redshirt sophomore, Little placed second at the Pac-12 Championship. He holds a 19-3 record on the season.
