Campbell heads to Elon Saturday

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell continues CAA play as it travels to take on Elon Saturday at 1 PM. The game will be broadcast on FloCollege. Campbell (3-7, 1-2) seeks its second CAA victory of the season, and first on the road, at Elon (5-4, 2-0) who remains undefeated in conference play.

LAST TIME OUT
Campbell fell to #23 Drexel at home last Sunday, 18-8. The Dragons jumped out to 5-1 lead after the first quarter before Campbell rattled off three straight goals in the second quarter to make it a 6-4 game. Drexel scored four straight times to close the first half and never looked back, limiting the Camels to two goals in both the third and fourth quarters. Rasa Welsh led the Camels with four goals while McKenna Duncan added one goal and an assist.

  • Elon enters 5-4 overall and 2-0 in CAA play featuring wins over Monmouth and Hofstra

  • Elon defeated the Camels last season 16-12 in Buies Creek. Sammy Fisher led the Phoneix with five goals and one assist while four Camels, including Delaney Nicolaus, Hailey Kohlmann, Ally Heath and Caroline Laur, led the way scoring two goals each 
  • Campbell won the very first matchup between the programs, 11-8 in 2014. The Phoenix have won six straight in the series since then.

  • Senior midfielder Hailey Kohlmann ranks 15th in the country and 1st in the CAA averaging 2.90 ground balls per game

  • Campbell's fifth-year duo of Sam Bischoff and Rasa Welsh currently lead the offense with 23 and 44 points, respectively
