BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell will host UNCW this weekend, March 7-9, for the first CAA series of the 2025 season. The first game will be Friday, March 7 at 5:00 pm. Campbell Softball Alumni will also be honored and celebrated this weekend.

CAMEL PREVIEW
Campbell went 3-0 against NC Central this past weekend, with all three games ending
due to the run-rule. Tyra Parker leads the Camels at the plate with a .390 batting average, compiling 23 hits including one home run (in-the-park), one triple, one double, 21 runs and 10 RBIs. There are three other Camels batting over .300 including Parker, Hannah Cornetto (.358), Charlie Montgomery (.348), and Amber DeSena (.306).
Megan Gregory leads the team in the circle with a 1.36 ERA and a 2-1 record. She has pitched 36 innings allowing seven earned runs and striking out 29. Gregory was also named the CAA Pitcher of the Week this week after pitching 8.0 innings over the weekend and allowing only five hits, no runs and 10 strikeouts. She was credited with a shutout after pitching six innings in the first game against NC Central and allowing no runs.
SCOUTING UNCW
The Seahawks are 14-6 on the season after going 2-3 this past weekend at the NC State Tournament. They topped Queens and NC State on Friday, then lost to Michigan and NC State on Saturday, and Michigan again on Sunday. UNCW is coming off a 33-23 2024 season finishing 18-9 in the CAA. The Seahawks won the 2024 CAA tournament after outscoring the Camels 1-3 in the final game of the tournament.
Ava Tsiouplis is batting .406 with 13 hits including two doubles, six RBIs, and eight runs. Madison Biddle leads the team in home runs with five. She is batting .397 with a 1.153 OPS and 16 RBIs. Makayla Huddleston leads the Seahawks in the circle with a 2.08 ERA over 52.0 innings pitched, allowing 30 hits, 12 earned runs and 40 strikeouts.
