Camels sign Ethan Richardson

BUIES CREEK -The Fighting Camels and head coach David Johnson have signed Ethan Richardson, an incoming sophomore out of Jonesboro, Ark. with four years of eligibility remaining.

Richardson was a decorated high school player, helping Jonesboro to four state championships while playing at the #1 position. Richardson is also a two-time singles and two-time doubles state champion himself. He went on to claim to overall singles state titles among all classifications.

He was a four-time all-state selection as he went undefeated in match play during his junior and senior seasons. He was named all-Arkansas Prep Boys Outstanding Player of the Year in both 2023 and 2024.

Richardson was tabbed a four-star recruit throughout his junior and senior seasons, and ranked the No. 2 player in Arkansas and the No. 20 player in the gulf states by TennisRecruiting.com.

In addition to his playing accolades, Richardson earned the USTA Arkansas Herschel Friday Outstanding Junior Award winner in recognition of ability and excellence in junior tennis, and achievements in sportsmanship, character, and citizenship.
