BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Head coach
Emily Carosone announced the Campbell softball program's 2026 schedule on Friday as the Camels prepare for their third season in the CAA and their second under Carosone's leadership.
Campbell is coming off a 37-20 campaign in 2025, highlighted by a 19-8 conference record and an appearance in the CAA Championship game. The Camels are slated to play 54 regular-season games, beginning with four tournaments to open the year.
Campbell opens the season Feb. 6-8 at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium, hosting the Campbell Stampede. The Camels will face Tennessee Tech, Florida A&M and Howard during the opening weekend.
The Camels will then travel to Auburn, Carosone's alma mater, for a tournament Feb. 13-15. Opponents and game times will be announced at a later date. Campbell returns home the following weekend to host the Campbell Invitational from Feb. 20-22, welcoming Iowa, Miami of Ohio and Radford.
Campbell closes the opening month of the season Feb. 27 through March 1 at a tournament hosted by ECU in Greenville. The Camels will take on the host Pirates, Rider and St. John's.
Following the four-tournament stretch, Campbell opens midweek play March 4 with a home matchup against ECU.
Additional nonconference contests include a road game at Radford on March 11, a trip to Duke on March 31 in Durham and a road matchup at Coastal Carolina on April 7. The Camels will also host Queens on April 15 and UNC Greensboro on April 22.
Campbell will compete in a final midseason tournament March 20-22 at Ohio State, facing the Buckeyes and Louisville.
Entering the 2026 season, the CAA will implement a new divisional format. The conference will be split into a North Division consisting of Drexel, Hofstra, Monmouth, Stony Brook and Towson, and a South Division featuring Campbell, Charleston, Elon, Hampton, North Carolina A&T and UNCW.
Each team will play eight conference series for a total of 24 league games. The top two teams from each division, determined by conference winning percentage, will earn automatic bids to the six-team CAA Championship. The final two tournament spots will go to the teams with the highest conference winning percentages that did not finish first or second in their division.
Campbell opens conference play March 6-8 with a road series at Hampton.
The Camels will host CAA series against Charleston from March 13-15, North Carolina A&T from April 3-4, Elon from April 17-19 and Hampton from April 24-26.
Conference road series include trips to Elon from March 27-29, Hofstra from April 10-12 and UNCW from April 30 through May 2 to close the regular season.
The 2026 CAA Tournament is scheduled for May 6-9 and will be hosted by Elon.
