SCOUTING WOFFORD: The Terriers have won three of their last five matches, but fell to USC Upstate, 3-2, in Tuesday's contest. Nathan Simes leads the team with four goals, and Kalle Rahbeck has contributed three assists. Jakob Andersson was selected as a preseason All-SoCon Team member, and he is a three-time All-SoCon player during his career. Andersson and Rahbeck are two of the three returning starters from the 2024 squad under first-year head coach Ryan Osborne. The team was selected to finish fifth in the SoCon Preseason Poll.
 
SERIES HISTORY: The Camels hold a 3-1 advantage in the overall series and a goal advantage of 5-2 against the Terriers. The teams last played in 2019 - a 2-0 victory for CU.
 
LAST TIME OUT: The Camels recorded a 2-2 draw against Longwood Tuesday night at home. Jake Roberts and James Jenkin provided the goals for CU, but the Lancers equalized in the 70th minute to force the tie.
 
ATLANTIC REGION: The Camels are ranked 9th in this week's United Soccer Coaches Atlantic Region poll, alongside fellow CAA members Elon (2nd) and Hofstra (5th).


TOP OF THE LEAGUE: Goalkeeper Max Leviton is third in the CAA in goals against average (0.833) and second save percentage (0.800). He ranks 51 & 50 in the NCAA in those statistics.
 
LAST SEASON: The Camels improved on their 2023 season with an 8-6-4 record in 2024 (3-4-1 in CAA play). Returning defender Luc Lavielle was named to the CAA All-Freshman team, while Owen Mikoy was a second-team honoree and Daniel Osei-Tutu earned third-team recognition.
 
NEW TO THE CREEK: Campbell welcomes 12 new faces to its team in 2024. This year's freshman class includes forwards Dani Giovannetti, Auggie Squillace, Skyler Wright, Kana Dube and Kristijan Bandur. Defender Ronnie Garcia also joins the freshman class. Transfers Sam Sery, Xander Martin, Zane Pederson, Kairi Saito, Xander Naguib and Daniel Santos Rosa round out the newcomers.
 
DAPAAH AND MATOS EARN PRESEASON HONORS: Filipe Matos and Evans Dapaah were named to the Preseason All-CAA Team as voted on by the coaches. Matos led the Camels in goals and points last year, while Dapaah was a strong mainstay within the Campbell midfield.
 
RETURNING EXPERIENCE: Five Camels that recorded over 1,000 minutes in 2024 make their return to Eakes for the 2025 season. Jake Roberts, the new team captain, returns along the back line with Luc Lavielle. Evans Dapaah makes his return to the midfield, and Filipe Matos and Marco Wright find their places back on the wings.
