SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Campbell men's soccer returned to the win column defeating Wofford, 3-2, on Saturday night at Snyder Field.
Campbell (3-2-3) opened the scoring 30 minutes into the match to take a 1-0 lead. Skyler Wright found Daniel Santos Rosa on the right post as he would score his first goal of the season.
Filipe Matos extended the Camels lead four minutes before the break with his second goal of the season. The Terriers defender deflected the cross to Matos before he headed the ball into the back of the net.
Wofford (3-5) converted a penalty kick in the 44th minute to cut into its deficit heading into the half. The Terriers would score the equalizer in the 50th minute to even things at two goals a piece.
The Camels would retake the lead with just under 10 minutes remaining as Ethan Roberts juggled a pass from Xander Martin before capitalizing. The goal marks Robert's third of the season and team high.
The Camel offense outshot the Terriers 21-4 for its largest shot differential of the season. The squad tallied seven shots on goal and drew eight corner kicks.
