Fanni Gronlund is tied for 22nd individually and Campbell is 12th on the team leader board after Monday's opening round of the Golfweek Red Sky Classic at the Red Sky Golf Club Fazio Course.
Gronlund shot an even-par 72 on the 6376-yard layout. She made 14 pars -tied for fifth in the 100-golfer field – and two birdies, including one on the par-five 18th hole.
Taylah Ellems is tied for 33rd at one-over 73 and
Jade Potter is T48 at 3-over 75.
Izabella Grimbrandt (T67) finished the day at 5-over 77, while
Isabella Hahne (T82) was 7-over (79).
Led by individual leader Francesca Fiorellini, who fired a course-record 9-under 63, LSU finished the day 14-under par (274) and leads Pepperdine (278) by four strokes heading into Tuesday's second round. The 54-hole event concludes Wednesday. Live scoring is available at

In a 20-school field that includes nine teams – Arizona, Campbell, Denver, Kansas, LSU, Miami, Pepperdine, Sacramento State, Southern Cal – that advanced to NCAA Regional competition last spring, the Camels are just six shots out of sixth place with 36 holes remaining.

The Course - Red Sky Golf Club – Fazio Course (Par 72, 6376 yards): Tom Fazio's design measures 7113 yards and will play to 6309 for the Red Sky Classic. It merges spectacular vistas of Vail's Back Bowls with a variety of terrain. Players make their way through open sage-covered hills, dense aspen forest and around a highland lake. Fazio's design team took particular care to maintain the site's indigenous vegetation, relocating more than 23,000 native plants into nurseries for re-planting throughout the course.
