PEMBROKE, N.C. – Campbell opened the 2025-26 season on the road, falling to UNC Pembroke 171-84 at the Sue Walsh Swimming Pool.
The Braves topped 12 of the day's 14 events.
The Camels took the top two spots in the 200 medley relay to open the day, posting times of 1:50.69 and 1:53.66.
Chloe Vitatoe then claimed the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:00.76.
Kat Gagnon also took runner-up in the 100 free with a time of 10:56.60, while
Natalie Kingsbury (2:13.63, 200 back),
Sophia Grubbs (2:33.90, 200 breaststroke) and
Julia Garcia (2:14.84, 200 IM) added second place finishes on the day.
The Camels also closed out the meet with a runner-up finish in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:42.74.
The Camels will host their next three dates inside the Johnson Aquatic Center, making their home debut with the Orange & Black Intersquad, followed by dates against Liberty (October 25) and the UNC Asheville, East Carolina tri-meet.
