FARMINGTON, PA. – Campbell was tied for eighth place when darkness halted the second round Monday of the
Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational at Mystic Rock Golf Club.
Campbell was one of four teams that did not complete 36 holes Monday and was tied with George Mason at 2-over par. Host West Virginia finished the day at 21-under (279-276—555). James Madison, which did not complete the second round, stood 17-under when play was called.
WVU's Kaleb Wilson is the 36-hole individual leader at 8-under 136 (68-68).
The 19-team field includes power conference members Penn State and West Virginia as well as Campbell's CAA rivals Towson and William & Mary. JMU, Campbell, George Mason and Richmond will complete the second round Tuesday starting at 7:30 p.m. The final round will follow at 8:00 a.m. on the Pete Dye designed Mystic Rock layout. Campbell juniors
Erik Johansson and
Joachim Larsen Tegner were tied for 22nd at 1-under as both stood 3-under for the round when play ended.
Benjamin Killingstad (+3) was T48,
William Sundborn T56 (+4) and
Adrian Bergqvist T63 (+5). Competing in the Shepherd's Rock Individual,
Logan Graf was T17 (+7) through 36 holes.
