Box Score CHAPEL HILL, NC – Campbell fell 7-0 at No. 3 North Carolina inside the Chewning Tennis Center in the opening match of the 2026 spring season.
 
The Camels faced a tough task against from UNC's top-ranked doubles teams. The Tar Heels secured the doubles point with victories from their #11-ranked duo of Reese Brantmeier and Alanis Hamilton (6-0), as well as the #3-ranked team of Oby Kajuru and Susanna Maltby (6-0). The third doubles match remained unfinished at 4-1. 

In singles play, the Camels matched up against a formidable lineup featuring several nationally ranked players.

"This match was a great opportunity for our team against one of the top programs in the nation," said head coach Mike Stevens. "While the score wasn't what we hoped for, I'm proud of how our players competed. This experience will be valuable as we move forward in the season."

The Camels return to action next weekend against another ranked foe at No. 11 NC State.
