BOSTON, Mass. – Campbell did not trail in the second half, coming away with a 61-51 win over Northeastern for its fourth consecutive CAA win Friday night at the Cabot Center.

The Fighting Camels improved to 11-7 and 4-1 in CAA play, while the Huskies dropped to 5-10 (1-4). CU is now 3-0 against the Huskies, with all three wins double-digit affairs.

Jasmine Nivar paced the Camels for her team-leading seventh time with 16 points and seven rebounds.
Olivia Tucker added 13 points, and
Gianni Boone and
Jasmine Felton each contributed 11 points.

Campbell started the game on a 9-2 run, spurned on by five quick points from Felton. The Huskies answered with an 8-0 run of their own to take the lead.

Tucker knocked down a three pointer with less than 30 seconds to play in the first to tie the game at 12 after the first 10 minutes.

Each team came out slow to start the second quarter, with neither team scoring in the first three minutes of action. The Camels found their rhythm eventually, scoring 15 points in the frame to take a 27-23 lead into halftime.

Campbell, who came into the game giving up 12.2 points in second quarters, allowed the Huskies to score 11 points in the frame.

Nivar scored eight points in the frame to lead the effort, as the team shot 50% from the field and held Northeastern to 40%. Morgan Matthews tallied five points to pace the Huskies.

N'na Konate opened the third quarter with four quick points, and the Camels built a 12-point lead with five minutes left in the quarter.

The Huskies did not allow their deficit to grow more than that, but they were unable to make up much ground either, as the Camels led by nine at the end of the frame, 46-37.

The fourth quarter was a back-and-forth affair, but the Camels did not allow the Huskies to get closer than five points.

Nivar led the way again with six points and three rebounds in the frame. Tucker added five points, including an important three pointer with 1:38 left to push the lead back to eight. She added a breakaway layup in the final 30 seconds to close out her night.
