BUIES CREEK, N.C. –
Arabella Butera and
Bailey Franci notched two individual wins apiece, powering Campbell past visiting UNC Pembroke 141-121 on Saturday at the Johnson Aquatic Center.
With the Senior Day victory, Campbell (1-4) earned its first dual win of the season, while handing the Braves (9-1) their first loss of the 2025-26 campaign.
The teams split the day's 14 events, but the Camels earned 22 top-3 finishes, earning the 10-point edge.
Butera topped the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:23.59, also claiming the 200 IM with a 2:12.46 mark to clinch the matchup for the Camels.
Franci, meanwhile, clocked in at 1:07.25 in the 100 breaststroke for an event win, followed by teammate
Sophia Grubbs (1:07.98), then topped the 100 freestyle with a time of 54.68, just ahead of CU's
Nicole Rubino (54.71).
Also earning individual wins were
Natalie Kingsbury in the 100 back (1:00.93) and
Madelynn Twigg in the 200 back (2:11.06). Campbell also kicked off the meet with a 200 medley relay win, logging a time of 1:49.76.
Next up, the Camels will head back to Lynchburg, Va. for the TYR Senior Celebration, taking on Liberty January 23-24.
