Nivar scored Campbell's first four points of the fourth quarter to cut into the Towson lead. A layup from Felton followed by another Nivar layup gave Campbell its first lead of the second half, 43-42 with 6:39 to play.

A jumper from Zoli Khalil on the ensuing possession gave Towson the lead again, 44-43, which they would not relinquish.

With a narrow lead late, the Tigers went 7-of-8 at the free throw line to close out the win. Thalia Shepard made four of the seven, in addition to Semaya Turner and Viki Matulevicius. Towson ended the game with a +7 advantage at the charity stripe.
