UNCW led by four after the first quarter, 13-9. Rori Cox had six for the Seahawks, and

Â
The Seahawks added to their lead through the second quarter, taking a 30-22 lead into halftime. Campbell improved its shooting percentage and was 5-of-6 from the free throw line, but UNCW had four points off turnovers and three second-chance points to counter the free throw disparity.

Later in the quarter, Tucker stole the ball again and pushed it ahead to Nivar, who was fouled on a layup attempt. She made both free throws to put the Camels up by four, 53-49, with 12 seconds to play and Campbell's biggest lead of the day.
Â
McCall King made a three pointer for UNCW to move within one, but Felton went 1-of-2 at the line with 0.6 seconds left, and the Seahawks did not get up a final shot.
