DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. –
Erik Johansson and
William Sundborn earned top five finishes and Campbell was third on the team leaderboard after Tuesday's final round of the Sam Ryder Intercollegiate at the LPGA International Hills Course.
In an event where only three players out 84 finished under par, Johansson (75-73-68—216) and Sundborn (69-74-73—216) completed the 54-hole event at even-par on the 6984-yard Arthur Hills design.
Host Stetson won the team title at is 13-under (283-285-283—851), while Big 12 member Baylor (293-290-289—872) was runner-up and the Camels (286-295-293—874) finished third out of 14 teams. The performance marked the third top-3 finish for Campbell in its last four tournaments dating to last October.
Benjamin Killingstad tied for 17th (72-70-77—219),
Logan Graf (71-79-75—225) finished T39 and
Joachim Larsen Tegner (74-78-80—232) T63 in Campbell's first team outing of the spring season.
Johansson's final round included six birdies, and he moved 22 places up the leaderboard. He played par, or better, golf for the eighth time in 17 rounds this season and logged his fifth round in the 60s. Sundborn registered the best finish so far in his freshman season, bettering a sixth-place effort last fall at the Bash in the Boro.
As a team, the Camels played the par-5 holes at 11-under and made 176 pars, second-best in the field. Killingstad was 6-under on the par-5 layouts, tied for first among individuals. Graf made 11 birdies, T5th in the field, while Johansson tied for second with 40 pars. Sundborn and Johansson were both even on the par-4 holes (T5).
Campbell returns to action next Monday and Tuesday (Mar. 9-10) in the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Invitational, hosted by USC-Aiken at Palmetto GC in Aiken, S.C.

The Course – LPGA International Arthur Hills Course (Par 72, 6984 yards)
Since 1997, LPGA International's Arthur Hills Signature Course has been a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The Golf Digest 4-Star rated par-72 layout is a classic at 6,984 yards. Hills used a superb natural setting to create a masterpiece in playability and variety. It features natural wetlands, narrow pine corridors, small greens and strategically placed water hazards.
