BUIES CREEK — Campbell baseball scored seven unanswered runs to even the series against Elon with a 7-1 victory on Saturday at Jim Perry Stadium.
Campbell improves to 25-13 overall and 17-3 in league play while Elon drops to 15-23 and 7-13 in league play.
Andrew Schuldt broke the 1-1 tie in the second, hitting the go-ahead solo home run to give the Camels the lead for good. The home run marked the third of the season for Schuldt.
Rossow (8-1) was once again stellar on the mound securing his eighth straight win of the season. The right-hander went 7.0 innings pitched and allowed one run on four hits and picked up his second-most strikeouts with 12.
Elon (15-23, 7-13 CAA) scored its lone run of the game on a lead off home run but
David Rossow settled in quickly the rest of the way.
Campbell (25-13, 17-3 CAA) evened things up in the bottom of the first as
Jonah Oster tallied an RBI base hit with the bases loaded.
The Camels broke things open in the seventh scoring five runs on two hits and a pair of Phoenix errors.
Logan Chapman led off the inning with a double before capitalizing on a Phoenix error to plate the first run of the innings. Oster tallied his second RBI of the game on his second base hit of the came.
Joey Morton continued the scoring on a sac fly as two wild pitched scored two more in the inning to make it 7-1.
Beau Brailey pitched the final two scoreless innings allowing just two hits and a pair of walks. The right-hander collected two strikeouts.
Oster led the offense going 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored as seven different Camels tallied his in the contest.
