SOUTHPORT, N.C. –
Jade Potter and
Taylah Ellems are among the top five individuals and Campbell is just seven strokes off the lead through Saturday's second round of the Coastal Athletic Association women's golf championship at The Reserve Club at St. James.
UNCW (292-291—583) owns a two-stroke edge over Charleston (294-291—585) heading into Sunday's final round. Campbell (295-295—590) is third, 20 shots clear of fourth-place Elon (308-302—610) in the nine-team field.
The only blemish on Potter's scorecard Saturday was a bogey on the par-5 seventh hole, but she closed out the front side with a birdie on the par-4 ninth. She added a second bird on the par-five 17th and is just two shots behind Minouche Rooijmans of UNCW (73-68—141) with 18 holes to play.
UNCW's Victoria Levy (69-73—142) is second, followed by Potter (72-71—141) and Carys Fennessy of Charleston (73-70—143) in a tie for third. Ellems (73-72—145) made four birdies Saturday and is alone in fifth place on the leader board.
Izabella Grimbrandt (73-77—150) is tied for 10th and
Fanni Gronlund T14 (77-75—152), while
Isabella Hahne is 28th in the 45-golfer field.
Potter became just the third Campbell player to break par on the 6022-yard Nicklaus design since Campbell joined the CAA in 2023-24. She and Ellems registered the top-two 36-hole scores by Campbell golfers in the CAA event, while Grimbrandt's two-round total was tied for fourth.
As a team, the Camels posted the best 36-hole score in three trips to the Reserve course.
Campbell will once again be paired with UNCW and Charleston for Sunday's final round and start from the first tee at 8:50 a.m. Live scoring is available at

Campbell entered the event ranked No. 149 in the nation, behind No. 58 Charleston No. 59 UNCW and No. 143 Elon in the CAA field.
