BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Senior
Thomas Drapeau and sophomore
Alex Fragasso represent Campbell on the All-CAA singles teams, the conference announced Friday morning. Drapeau was named a first team member while Fragasso was named third team all-conference.
A senior from Quebec, Drapeau moved to No. 1 singles court prior to the start of CAA action and proved to be a steady force for the Camels. After dropping his first CAA contest of the season, Drapeau won four consecutive matches against conference competition. His victory over Jakub Solarski in three sets was the clinching point in Campbell's 4-3 win over Charleston.
Against non-conference competition, Drapeau earned a ranked victory over NC State's William Manning. Drapeau fought to a 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8) win over the No. 85 ranked player in Raleigh to open the fall slate.
Fragasso, a sophomore from Sassari, Italy, earned three wins against conference opponents in the spring on court No. 2. He also went 2-0 against CAA competition during the fall, defeating UNCW's Alexander Thompson at the ITA Regionals.
