BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Max Hamon,
Aleksandar Hudjec and
Matias Lofink were named to the College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District team, the group announced Tuesday afternoon. The recognition honors student-athletes who performed admirably both on the court and in the classroom.
A senior from Montreal, Hamon earned his bachelor's degree in finance and was 2-2 against CAA singles competition and 2-1 on the doubles court.
Hudjec was 4-1 in singles play against CAA foes, working primarily on courts three and four. He was also 6-3 in doubles play, and the Belgrade, Serbia native is working towards a degree in marketing.
Lofink earned wins over NC A&T and Hampton this year in CAA play on No. 5 singles. A junior from Dusseldorf, Germany, he is near completion of a degree in international business.
To qualify for the CSC Academic All-District team, undergraduate student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, and tennis players must also be in the lineup for 75 percent of a team's days of competition.
