Angau joins Camels

BUIES CREEK  - John Angau has signed with the Camels and head coach Jimmie Williams.

"Our staff is so excited about John!" Coach Williams said "We were pulling into dinner last night as a staff when we got the call. You always know it's going to be special when the commitment comes and is immediately followed by celebration by every member of our staff. John is going to be a great player here. He has the skill, athleticism and versatility to play multiple positions. He is good on both sides of the ball and can shoot the cover off the ball. What I love most about John is his commitment to family. His family was a big factor in this decision and that went a long way with us. We are so glad he is now a member of our Campbell family. We got better today!"

Angau, a 6'5" guard, will transfer from North Dakota College State College of Science where he started 27 games as a freshman and averaged 12.8 ppg. Angau proved to be an efficient scorer, shooting 48% from the floor, 43% from beyond the arc, and 90% at the foul line.

The Fargo, ND native went 67-155 from three-point range on the season. He scored in double figures 20 times, with five games above 20 points, and a season-best of 26.

He helped his NDCSC squad to a 26-6 record, going 10-2 in league play before falling in the Region XIII championship game.

Angau comes to Campbell with three years of eligibility remaining.
