ELON, N.C. – No. 3 seed Campbell will open play in the CAA Softball Championship against host and No. 6 seed Elon on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Hunt Softball Park.

TOURNAMENT HISTORY
Since joining the CAA prior to the 2024 season, Campbell has reached the championship game in each of its first two appearances. The Camels fell to UNCW in 2024 and Elon in 2025. Campbell has earned a top-four seed in every CAA tournament appearance.
SERIES HISTORY
The Camels and Phoenix will meet for the seventh time this season and the fourth time in Elon. Campbell won five of six matchups during the regular season and lead the all-time series 35-17-1. The teams last met April 17-19 in Buies Creek. Elon won the opener 5-1, but Campbell claimed the final two games of the series.
Wednesday marks the first postseason meeting between the programs since last year's CAA championship game in Buies Creek. It will be the fourth all-time CAA tournament matchup, with Elon holding a 2-1 edge.
LEADING THE LEAGUE
Charlie Montgomery was named CAA Player of the Year and
Amber DeSena earned CAA Defensive Player of the Year honors, highlighting Campbell's six all-conference selections.
Montgomery and DeSena were both selected to the All-CAA First Team, as chosen by the league's coaches. They were joined on the first team by
Haley Krebs and
Katelyn Hubley. With four players, the Camels led the league in All-CAA First Team selections.
Allyiah Swiney was named to the All-CAA Second Team for the second consecutive season.
Kylie Specht joined Hubley as a member of the All-Rookie Team.
LOOKING AHEAD
With a win, Campbell will advance to face No. 2 seed UNCW on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
With a loss, the Camels will play in an elimination game Wednesday at 5 p.m. against the loser of the matchup between No. 4 seed Stony Brook and No. 5 seed Charleston.
