BUIES CREEK — Five Campbell baseball student-athletes earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon. 

Seniors Jonah Oster, David Rossow, Trent Rumley, Zach Sabers, and Joe Simpson each earn the honors for the first time in their careers. 

Oster was the lone Camel to start in all 58 games this season and earned First Team All-CAA honors. He batted .274 including a team-high 16 doubles, two triples, and 12 homers. The redshirt senior finished the semester with a 3.80 GPA in his Master's of Science in Applied Leadership program. 

Rossow was named CAA Pitcher of the Year and finished the season with a 2.53 ERA in 81.2 innings pitched. He led the Camels with 104 strikeouts and is just the fifth Camel to record 100 strikeouts in a season. Rossow maintained a 3.714 in the Master of Science in Applied Leadership program. 

Rumley appeared in 43 games making 39 starts and finished the season with a .283 batting average including nine doubles and three homers. He maintained a 3.75 GPA in his Master's of Science in Applied Leadership program. 

Sabers appeared in 15 games making seven starts on the mound. The right-hander pitched 49.1 innings to finish with a 5-2 record and a 3.47 ERA. Sabers finished the semester with a 4.0 GPA in his Master's of Business Administration program. 

Simpson was named Second Team All-CAA after compiling a .320 average in 30 games played. He led the Camels with 25 stolen bases and scored 29 runs on the season. The outfielder totaled 32hits including five doubles, triple, and two home runs. He maintained a 3.750 in his Master's of Applied Leadership program. 

To qualify for the CSC Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and either compete in 90% of their team's games or start at least 66% of contests.
