Rossow, Wimbish selected in 2026 MLB Draft

BUIES CREEK — Right-handed pitchers David Rossow and Camden Wimbish were selected by the Athletics and Los Angeles Dodgers, respectively, on the second day of the 2026 MLB Draft.

Rossow was taken with the 201st pick in the seventh round by the Athletics. The right-hander was tabbed All-American after a stellar senior season on the mound for the Camels. The CAA Pitcher of the Year and first team all-conference selection paced the Camels with a 2.53 ERA and 10 wins.

Rossow led the league in ERA, wins, and strikeouts (104) to secure the league's "triple crown." The Boca Raton, Fla., native finished with a 10-2 record in 81.2 innings pitched after making 13 starts in 16 appearances. His 104 strikeouts on the season ties for the fourth most in single season program history.

Wimbish was selected with the 523rd pick in the 17th round by the Dodgers to become the 52nd player drafted in program history. He finished the season with a 5.61 ERA in 51.1 innings pitched. The Locust, N.C., native went 2-2 on the season with 59 strikeouts and held opponents to a .251 batting average.

Campbell now has had 52 players selected since 1935.
