BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Joshwa Campbell's goal in the 78
th minute proved the difference maker, as the Longwood Lancers came away with a 2-1 victory Tuesday night at Eakes Athletics Complex.
Campbell (0-4) scored the opening goal in the 37
th minute.
Xander Martin played a corner kick into the box from the far side, and
Davis Reid was first to the ball. He nudged it through the box, and
Augustus Squillace was first to it and poked it past the keeper for his first goal of the season.
Longwood's (4-0) Brando Bedolla equalized with his effort in the 67
th minute on a free kick. From just outside the box, he sent his effort over the wall and off the left post and into the goal. Campbell's game-winner came 11 minutes later off an assist from Benjamin Ferrero.
A physical game from start to finish, Campbell was called for 18 fouls while Longwood drew 10 whistles. The Camels recorded 12 shots to Longwood's 10, and each side put five efforts on frame.

Campbell continues its homestand this Saturday, as it plays host to Wofford, beginning at 6:00 at Eakes Athletics Complex. The action will not be streamed, but attendance is free to all attendees.
