BUIES CREEK — Campbell secured its third shutout of the season blanking Queens 3-0 on Thursday night at Eakes Athletics Complex.
Campbell improves to 3-3-1 on the season while Queens falls to 0-4-1.
The Camels registered 27 shots on the night marking the most shots since facing Hampton during the 2024 season.
Just two minutes into the match,
Ava Kanaar found
Abby Connolly in the box to give the Camels a 1-0 lead. The goal marks Connolly's second of the season for a team lead six total points on the season.
The Camels continued to apply offensive pressure with 17 shots and two corners in the first half but the Royals' defense held steady to keep the lead 1-0 heading into the half.
Much like the first half, Campbell quickly scored as
Laney Heafner's cross hooked into the goal for the score making it 2-0 in the 47th minute.
Avery Garrett scored her team lead third goal of the season off the assist from
Mya Wooton and
Ella Wineka in the 79th minute for the final 3-0. The assist by Wooton marks the first of her career.
Abygaelle Normand led the Camels with four shots on the night and Heafner registered three shots on frame. Anais van Doesburg faced just two shots.
