Thursday night at the Donald L. Tucker Center.
Johnson made 6-8 from
the floor and 3-4 free throws while adding seven rebounds for FSU

11 points and a game-high 10 rebounds, while Ralph Mims scored 11
as well.
Todd
Galloway, Jason Rich and Casaan Breeden each scored 10 for the

layup with 3:52 to play in the half.
The Seminoles
countered by scoring the final 11 points of the first half for a
51-27 lead. The closing run included a pair of free throws from
Ralph Mims that established a new school record of 33 consecutive
free throws made. Jim Oler held the previous record of 31
consecutive free throws made, set during the 1953-54
season.
Latham led Campbell
(3-6) with a season-high 19 points on 5-9 field goals and 9-12 from
the line. Jake Wohlfeil came off the bench to score a season-high
12 on 4-8 threes, while Ledell Eackles (12) and Eric Smith (10)
also reached double figures for the Camels.
FSU held Campbell to
just 29 percent shooting in the first half (8-28) and led by 24 at
the break, paced by Thornton's 11 points.
The Seminole lead
reached as many as 42 in the second period as FSU converted 24
Campbell turnovers into 30 points, held a 40-28 advantage on the
boards, and outscored the Camels 54-26 in the paint for the
night.
Wohlfeil scored all 12
of his points in the second half on 4-6 accuracy from 3-point range
for the Camels, who shot 54 percent (15-28) from the floor after
the break, but suffered their third-straight loss.
FSU, however, made 66
percent (23-35) of its shots in the final period and reached the
century mark for the first time since a 101-57 victory over
Jacksonville on Dec. 21, 2004.
Smith, who entered the
game ranked second nationally in 3-pointers made per game at better
than 4.6 per outing, hit just 2-6 from long range and finished with
his lowest scoring output of the year. The junior guard from
Chicago had scored at least 20 points in each of his previous four
games.
Campbell dropped to
0-2 all-time vs. FSU and 1-25 against Atlantic Coast Conference
members. The loss was Campbell's 10th-straight against an ACC team
since a 72-69 overtime victory at North Carolina State on Dec. 4,
1993.
