MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Campbell's Big South series opener against Coastal Carolina at Pelicans Park has been canceled due to inclement weather.
Due to scheduling conflicts, with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, who are set to begin a three-game series against the Potomac Nationals Thursday night, game will not be made up.
Games two and three of the series will go on, as scheduled Friday and Saturday.
The Camels and Chanticleers were slated for noon starts in all three games of the final regular season set.
Both teams will be vying for positioning in next week's Big South Conference Championships, beginning Tuesday, May 20 at Winthrop.
Campbell heads into the weekend at 34-17 overall and 17-7 in Big South games, standing second in the league's North Division. CCU stands tied for the South Division lead with Winthrop with a 12-12 Big South ledger, going 22-30 overall.
Liberty has clinched the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament with a 22-1 BSC mark, but the remainder of the seeding remains to be determined heading into the league's finale regular season weekend.
