Davidson, NC - Seven Camels went undefeated in singles actions as Campbell combined for a 31-8 overall record at the Davidson Invitational September 29 through October 1.
Campbell players combined for 21 wins in singles action. The Camels only dropped three matches on the singles side and claimed all three flights.
In doubles action, the Camels went 10-5 to claim all four flights.
Gerard Sola won all six of his matches on the weekend with a 2-0 singles record and a 4-0 result on the doubles side.
Sola joined with Jonathan O'neal to claim a 4-0 doubles record. The pair swept opponents from Gardner-Webb, Queens, UNC-Asheville and USC-Upstate. The duo's closest match came against USC-Upstate's pair Ankush Arora and Fernando Bernardes, 6-3.
O'Neal also tabbed a 2-0 record in singles action.
Dustin Werner went a perfect 3-0 in singles play. Werner defeated Davison's Yash Parickh 5-7, 7-5, 10-6 and Kevin Huang 6-1, 6-3; Gardner-Webb's Millen Hurrion 1-6, 6-1, 10-7.
Werner joined
Lukas Schaefer for a 3-1 doubles record. Schaefer went a perfect 3-0 for the Camels in singles play.
Sophomore transfer,
Ondrej Labik, tabbed three wins in singles action and teamed up with
Lorenz Schwab to split 1-1 on the doubles side.
Schwab and Fabian Ayet joined together to claim two wins. The duo went undefeated on the weekend as a pair.
Louis Monterosso solidified the Camels in singles action with an undefeated 3-0 record.
The Fighting Camels return to action October 12-14 at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Championship. The three day event will be hosted by Duke University in Cary, NC.
