Camels travel to Charleston for CofC Invite

BUIES CREEK, NC ­- Campbell hits the road to compete in their second to last fall tournament this weekend, October 27-29, in Charleston, SC.
 
The Camels begin play on Friday with the first draw at 2 pm. Action on Saturday and Sunday will begin at 9 am.
 
The three day, hidden dual format, will feature teams across multiple flights including Appalachian State, South Carolina State, and host school College of Charleston.
 
Campbell returns to action after an off weekend. Last time out in singles action, the Camels advanced two players out of the round of 128 and two doubles pairs out of the round of 64 in the ITA Carolina Regional.
 
Lorenz Schwab opened play with a win over a potential opponent this weekend in College of Charleston's Ryan Khan 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 before falling to South Carolina's Paul Jubb in the second round.
 
Gerard Sola also advanced out of the opening round for the Camels with a win over another College of Charleston player, Fernando Ramirez, 6-3, 6-2 before an eventual loss to USC's Thomas Maryonne.
 
In doubles action, duos Lukas SchaeferDustin Werner and Jonathan O'Neal/ Sola both advanced through the opening round before later in the round of 32.
 
The Camels will look to take advantage of the familiar, smaller field over the three day stretch.
