BUIES CREEK, NC - Campbell hits the road for the second straight weekend as they compete in the Davidson Invitational September 29 through October 1.
The field consists of two other Big South Conference opponents- Gardner-Webb and UNC Asheville. Other contenders include host school Davidson (Atlantic-10), USC Upstate (Atlantic Sun), and Division II opponent Queens University.
Campbell travels to Davidson after last weekend's Liberty Invitational tournament.
Two Campbell duos swept through doubles play to claim their respective flights.
Fernando Clemente and
Louis Monterosso won the blue doubles flight by winning two straight games after receiving a first-round bye.
Lukas Schaefer and
Dustin Werner won three matches, on three separate days, to claim the red doubles flight.
On the singles side,
Gerard Sola tabbed a 4-1 record by winning four straight after dropping his first match on the weekend.
Campbell begins play Friday, September 29 against UNC Asheville in doubles action at 3:00 pm.
Singles play for the Camels begins Saturday at 11:00 am against Gardner-Webb.
Campbell closes out the weekend on Sunday with action on both sides starting at 10:00 am with the last match set for 11:00 am.
