Football signs a pair during early period

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell has inked two future Camels during the 2019 early signing period, announced today by head coach Mike Minter.

Joining the Camels in 2019 will be Cameron Davis, a running back from New London, N.C. and a North Stanly High School product, as well as a transfer quarterback, Brock Domann, originally from Colorado Springs, Colo. and coming to Campbell by way of Ventura College.

Davis produced more than 6,770 yards in his career for the Comets, including a career-best 2,570 as a junior in 2017, setting school single season and game records for yards. The North Stanly High standout added school records for touchdowns, as well as longest touchdown as a senior, collecting 1,300 yards. Coached by Scott Crisco, Davis was named all-conference in 2016 while totaling 1,700 yards. Davis, who also lettered in basketball and track, plans to graduate in December and enroll at Campbell in January.

Domann paced Ventura College to a Southern California Football Association championship, an 11-2 record and a CCCAA state championship game appearance in 2018, throwing for 1,568 yards and 14 touchdowns with 580 rushing yards and seven more scores on the ground. Prior to Ventura, Domann helped lead Pine Creek High School to three state championships while earning all-state honors. Domann also played in the Marcus Dixon All-American Bowl in Myrtle Beach, S.C. to close his high school career. Coached by Todd Miller, he also lettered in basketball during his prep career. Domann's brother, Jojo, is a defensive back at Nebraska.

The college football early signing period runs from December 19-21. The Camels will round out the remainder of their incoming 2019 class in February.
