Getting To Know Khai McLin

Khai McLin, a redshirt sophomore sprinter out of Plantation, Fla., is in his third year with the Campbell track & field program. At the 2016 Big South Outdoor Championships, he picked up two conference titles (200m, 4x100m relay), four all-Big South honors (100m, 200m, 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay) and was named the Men's Track Athlete of the Year. He holds lifetime bests of 6.88s in the 60m, 10.51s in the 100m and 20.81s in the 200m. McLin is majoring in Exercise & Sports Science at Campbell.

Why did you decide to compete in track & field: I like to race and I wanted to be faster than I was.
Who was your greatest influence growing up: LeBron James. He is a leader on and off the court and gives back to his hometown community.

What is your favorite memory during your track & field career: The 2016 Big South Outdoor Championship
What professional track & field athlete would you like to compete with: Trayvon Bromell. He motivates me to run faster.
Which professional athlete would you most like to meet: LeBron James. He is always working towards perfection.
What do you like to do in your free time: Play video games, sleep and learn how to better my mechanics by watching film
What is something that your teammates may not know about you: I hate to lose more than they love to win.
