RALEIGH, NC – Campbell wrapped up two days of competition at the prestigious Raleigh Relays, hosted by NC State at the Paul Derr Track & Field Facility. The weekend's action was highlighted by three Camels posting times to move into the program's outdoor top 10 lists.
Mario Cantarero clocked a 1:51.52 in the men's 800m to claim third-place in program history. Cantarero is already the school's record-holder in the same indoor event. The Spaniard finished 34
th at the Raleigh Relays, the best finish by a Camel during the meet, featuring deep fields throughout all events.
Emily Pierce moved into 5
th in program history in the women's 5000m with a 17:05.81. Pierce now appears in the top 10 of three outdoor events (5000m, 1500m, 800m).
Emelyn Lacour now sits in 6
th in program history in the women's 800m, posting a time of 2:15.40. That time marks Lacour's first Campbell outdoor top 10 time.
