GREENVILLE, NC – The Camels were in action Friday and Saturday at the Bill Carson Invitational, hosted by East Carolina at the Bate Foundation Track and Field facility.
On The Track
Emelyn Lacour provided CU's top finish on the track with a third-place finish in the women's 1500m, clocking a 4:46.61. Both
Abby Reutinger (4:56.33) and
Mary Ella Bichey (4:58.86) finished in the top 15 and logged PRs in the same event.
Jenna VanRyn paced nine Camels that competed in the women's 800m with a time of 2:20.64 for fifth place.
Ella Hess was close behind with a OR of 2:22.53.
Eloise Leonard,
Kylee Dinterman and
Emma Suchenski all logged PRs in the event.
Ty'Nasia Emory and
Amanda Ballard finished sixth and seventh, respectively, in the women's 100m. Emory clocked a 12.02 with Ballard at 12.07.
Craig Costa and
Spencer Thompson both tallied PRs in the men's 1500m, Costa at 4:06.99 and Thompson at 4:12.87.
In The Field
Zoie Hembree cleared 3.08m in the women's pole vault to nab second place.
Janelle Caldeira posted a PR of 1.45m in the women's high jump.
Daniel Griffith posted a PR in men's shot put at 9.39m.
Looking Ahead
Campbell is in action this week at the VertKlasse Meeting in High Point, set for April 2-3.
