Camels compete at 49er Classic

CHARLOTTE, NC - Campbell wrapped up competition at the 49er Classic at the Irwin Belk Track & Field Center in Charlotte to open the 2026 outdoor season. The three-day event saw numerous Camels set PRs.

On The Track
Ty'Nasia Emory finished ninth in the women's 100m at 11.89 seconds.

Emelyn Lacour took first place in the women's 5000m with a personal best 18:02.31, a time good for a Camel freshman record in the event. Mary Ella Bichey finished 10th in the event at 18:48.35. All five Camels in the event logged PRs and finished in the top 22 out of over 40 entrants.

Avery Rohrer finished eighth in the women's 3000m at 11:10.67, with Emma Suchenski just behind in 10th place at 11:24.06.

Jake Stanley finished 14th in the men's 3000m, logging a 9:22.69.

Jackson Price finished 16th in the men's 10,000m, clocking a 32:32.72.

In The Field
Janelle Caldeira finished 18th in the women's long jump with a mark of 5.26m.

Zoie Hembree claimed the top spot in women's pole vault, clearing a personal best 3.30m. Isabella Bernard tied for third in the event at 3.15m.

Up Next
Campbell will have a split weekend between the Raleigh Relays (Mar. 26-28) and the Bill Carson Invitational (Mar. 27-28).
