CLINTON, S.C. - Bastien Huon advanced to the main singles draw championship as Campbell wrapped up the Big South Fall Invitational over the weekend.
Huon tabbed a 6-1, 6-1 two set win over Bierbaum in the opening round to start play out with a win in singles action before following with another two set win in the second round over Silva 6-2, 6-2. He then followed with a three set 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (6) win over Vennemreddy before advancing to the title match.
Raphael Calzi followed in singles play by advancing to the quarterfinal round. He opened with a duo of two set wins which featured a 6-2, 6-3 win in the first round over Enslin before notching another two set win in the second round over Morkel 6-1, 6-2. He then topped Rider 6-0, 6-1 in the next round before failing in the quarterfinals.
Ondrej Labik also claimed two wins on the weekend in singles action by opening with a 2/6, 6-4, 6-4 comeback win over Nolan before tabbing another comeback win, 3-6, 7-5, 6-1 victory in the second round.
In doubles play, the duo combined for an opening round win, 8-4, over Harris and Enslin before dropping the second round matchup.
Campbell closes out the fall season November 8-10 at the Wake Forest Invitational.
