BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell hosts longtime rival Coastal Carolina Friday at 2 p.m. at the Nisbet Tennis Center.
The match is the second in a string of six-consecutive home dates for the Fighting Camels (2-3), who are coming off a 7-0 victory over NC Central last Saturday.
Campbell blanked the Eagles without dropping a set last week. Senior
Dustin Werner improved to 3-2 at the top singles position, while
Bastien Huon improved his dual match mark to 3-1 on the spring season.
Gerard Sola and
Ondrej Labik dropped only one game apiece at the fourth and fifth singles positions.
Coastal Carolina (3-1) is coming off a 4-2 win last week at Presbyterian. Including a 4-3 triumph Feb. 1 over Gardner-Webb, the Chanticleers stand 2-0 against Big South members this season.
Senior Luiz Faria owns a 3-1 record at No.-1 singles for Coastal, which has won three-straight outings.
Following Friday's match, the Camels entertain West Virginia Wesleyan and Bluefield State Sat., Feb. 23.
