BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell claimed the doubles point; then won five of six singles matches to defeat Coastal Carolina a 6-1 men's tennis action Friday at the Nisbet Tennis Center.
 
Dustin Werner, Bastien Huon, Raphael Calzi and Ondrej Labik claimed straight-sets singles victories for the Camels (3-3), while Gerard Sola earned a 3-set win at the fourth position.
 
Campbell's first (Werner/Calzi) and third (Sola/Louis Monterosso) tandems posted identical  6-1 results to earn the doubles point.
 
Coastal's lone point came at the sixth singles position where Daiki Tanabe edged Ted Williams 7-6, 6-3.
 
The Camels won their second-straight outing after ending a three-match win streak by the former Big South member.  Coastal had posted wins over Big South opponents Gardner-Webb (4-3) and Presbyterian (4-2) earlier this season.
 
Undefeated in two matches at the Nisbet Center this spring, Campbell returns to action next Saturday (Feb. 23) at home against West Virginia Wesleyan (11:00 a.m.) and Bluefield State (3:00 p.m.).
