BUIES CREEK, N.C.  – After leading Campbell to a seventh-place finish in a loaded field at the Sea Best Invitational, Ray Kraivixien has been named Big South Conference men's golfer of the week.
 
In a 14-team field that included nine top-50 ranked teams, Ray Kraivixien led No.-42 Campbell to a tie for seventh place Tuesday in the Sea Best Invitational.  On the par-70, TPC Sawgrass Dye's Valley layout, Kraivixien finished in a tie for 11th place individually at 1-over 211 (69-74-68). 
 
He turned in his seventh and eighth below par rounds of the season (in 14 rounds) and helped Campbell (2888-286-287—861) tie No.-13 Arkansas and defeat No.-24 UNLV by nine strokes.  The 2018 Big South golfer of the year, Kraivixien lowered his stroke average to 71.07 thanks to his fourth and fifth rounds in the 60s this year.
 
Campbell returns to action Mar. 4-5 in the ECU Intercollegiate at Brook Valley GC in Greenville, N.C.
