BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Patience Marshall claimed school records in the women's shot put and discus throw competitions Saturday on day two of the Seahawk Invitational.

Andrew Ward and DJ McClain went one, two and three in the men's discus throw competition with Clarke taking the title.
Jenna Dankert also tabbed a podium finish in the women's shot put event by finishing second.
Patience Marshall picked up where she left off from the indoor season and claimed the women's outdoor shot put school record. She measured a distance of 14.39m to claim the school's top mark. Her measure surpassed Jessica Dunston's previous program best of 13.23m which was set in 2011.
Marshall's second school record of the day claimed true in the discus throw where she claimed the top spot in the event with a measurement of 45.66m. Her mark passed previous record holder Tiffany Winston who recorded a 41.50m mark in 1999.
Jonhoi Clarke claimed the men's discus throw title by launching a 43.88m mark. David Ward followed with a 40.39m ledger while DJ McClain claimed the other podium finish with a 38.72m marking.
Jenna Dankert rounded out the Campbell thrower's success by finishing second in the women's shot put event after launching a distance of 13.26m.
Campbell returns to Wilmington, N.C. next weekend to compete in the UNCW Invitational.
