No. 21 Camels host Oregon State, Presbyterian

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – No. 21 Campbell will host Oregon State and Presbyterian on Saturday, January 25, at the Pope Convocation Center / Gore Arena.

Action begins at noon with Oregon State against Presbyterian, followed by Campbell's opening bout of the day vs. new SoCon program PC, slated for 1:30 p.m. The Camels and Beavers will close the day with a 3:00 p.m. match.

All three matches will be carried live on ESPN+, and live results will be provided through Trackwrestling.

The Camels are 4-2 in dual action on the season following last weekend's 42-3 win over The Citadel in their Southern Conference debut. Campbell posted three pins and three tech falls, picking up bonus points in six of the final seven bouts to top the visiting Bulldogs.

Campbell is ranked No. 21 by the NWCA, and as high as No. 20 in the national polls (Intermat).

Individually, as many as seven Camels are ranked nationally in their respective weight classes. Andrew Morgan is ranked No. 7 at 184 pounds, while 133-pounder Noah Gonser and Josh Heil at 141 pounds are both ranked No. 9, according to FloWrestling. Jere Heino is No. 14 at heavyweight, with Quentin Perez coming in at No. 16 at 165.

Chris Kober is No. 26 at 197, while Korbin Meink has also entered The Open Mat rankings at No. 32 at 125 pounds.

Oregon State comes in to Saturday's duals with a 4-2 record and a 0-1 Pac-12 ledger, falling to mutual Campbell opponent Arizona State, 26-12, in its last outing. The Beavers, who finished 20th in last season's NCAA Championships, are led by 133-pounder Devan Turner, who is 18-7 overall on the season with a perfect 6-0 mark in duals. The redshirt junior is ranked No. 14 at 133 by FloWrestling.

First year program Presbyterian is 1-4 overall with a 0-2 SoCon record. Last time out, the Blue Hose fell against Davidson 36-8, also dropping a 48-0 decision to Appalachian State. PC's lone dual win of the season came against Truett McConnell, 44-0.

Next up, Campbell will head to Gardner-Webb on January 31. The Camels return home on February 8, taking on Chattanooga.
