BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- Winners of three straight matches, Campbell hosts East Carolina Friday at 2:00 p.m.

Campbell has won three straight matches including a pair of wins this week at home over North Carolina Central, 7-0, and most recently Coastal Carolina , 4-3.

Against Coastal, the match came down to court No. 6 where Essence Martins clinched the match with a 7-5, 6-3, 6-4 comeback win. 

East Carolina (2-2) has won two straight matches including a most recent 4-3 win over UNCG where Michelle Ncube clinched the match at No. 3 5-7, 7-6, 7-6.

Notables

In doubles action, Ciara O'Toole and Lou Regen have won three-straight as a duo and have paired for a 5-1 record on the season playing all of their matches at No. 3.

On the singles side, both Ana Castillo and Alexandra Nicoara have won three-straight. Castillo has posted a 5-1 ledger at No. 1 this season while Nicoara sports a 2-0 record at No. 5 and a 1-0 mark at No. 4.

For the Pirates, Lisa Hofbauer has won two straight outings in singles play at No. 1 where she holds a 2-2 mark. Minette Van Vreden has also won two in a row and gold a 2-1 record at No. 6 this season.
