BUIES CREEK, N.C. –
Kemy Amiche of Campbell University has been named to the College Soccer News All-Freshman first team. He has also made the Top Drawer Soccer first team Freshman Best XI squad. Amiche's selection marks the third-straight year that a Camel has earned freshman All-America recognition.
Amiche finished the season ranked fifth in the country in total assists (11) and 17th in assists per game (0.52). He played in all 21 contests and was a first-team all-conference selection. Amiche stood second among Big South leaders in points (25), was T5th in goals (7) and first in assists. The winger dealt three assists and added a goal in Campbell's 7-0 Big South semifinal win over Winthrop and scored in the final against High Point.
A native of Goussainville, France and member of the Big South all-tournament and all-freshman teams, Amiche produced the most assists in a year since Mitchell Cardenas set up 14 goals in the 2012 campaign. He was named second-team All-South Region by the United Soccer Coaches.
After winning the Big South regular season and tournament titles, the Camels (15-4-2, 9-0-1) were ranked No. 29 in the final College Soccer News poll and No. 8 in the South Region ranking. CU finished the season rated second in the country in total goals (55), assists (58) and points (168).
