BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell continues its fall men's golf schedule next week with the Georgetown Intercollegiate at Liberty National in Jersey City, N.J.
The 54-hole event begins with two rounds Monday and concludes Tuesday on the par-72, 7387-yard Liberty National Golf club layout that hosts the PGA TOUR Northern Trust event.
After Sunday's practice round, Campbell will be paired with Michigan and host Georgetown for Monday's first two rounds. The field also includes Boston College and Duke of the ACC, plus Big Ten member Penn State.

The Course – Liberty National Golf Club (Par 72, 7387 yards): Host of PGA TOUR stop The Northern Trust, Liberty National's 18-hole Championship Golf Course is located in Jersey City, N.J., and reflects the detailed expertise of 1992 U.S. Open Champion Tom Kite and renowned golf course architect Bob Cupp, who collaborated on the design. Kite & Cupp's parkland links style layout of Liberty National is dramatic and yet traditional, taking into account the site's cultural heritage, aesthetic principles, and elements of light and shadow. Golfers enjoy magnificent views of the Statue of Liberty, the New York Harbor, Manhattan Skyline, and the Verrazano Narrows Bridge.
The Coach: Now in his 33rd year in charge of the Campbell men's golf program and 32nd as head coach of the CU women,
John Crooks has been named league coach of the year 23 times in his tenure. His teams have combined to earn 34 NCAA post-season trips, including 10 in a row for the women. His teams have won 158 tournaments and with 97 career tournament titles, Crooks trails only Dan Brooks of Duke (140) on the all-time coaching victories list among Division I women's coaches. He has guided his teams to 26 league titles, including 18 on the women's side and eight in men's competition.

Graduate student
Henrik Lilja (Gothenburg, Sweden) already owns the seventh-lowest scoring average (72.7) in school history with eight career top-10 finishes. The 2022 Big South Conference golfer and scholar-athlete of the year, Lilja opened the season with a sixth-place finish (68-70—138) at the rain-shortened Badger Invitational. He posted a second-straight top-20 finish (T19) at the Graeme McDowell Invitational and owns a 72.8 stroke average over five rounds.
Sophomore
Douglas Nordlof (Saltsjobaden, Sweden) finished T21 (78-78-71—227) in his Campbell debut at the Graeme McDowell Invitational. He was named to the 2022 PING NCAA Division II All-Atlantic Region Team at Bluefield State before transferring to Campbell.
Freshman
Tim Holmberg (Uppsala, Sweden) finished T27 (74-75-80—229) last month in his Camel debut at the Graeme McDowell Invitational.
Freshman
Amadeus Susanto (Yogyakarta, Indonesia) has played in both of Campbell's first two events, posting a 77.2 scoring average. He finished T35 (76-81-76—233) at the Graeme McDowell Invitational. Susanto won the 2022 Indonesia Amateur Championship and was runner-up at the Southeast Asia Games.
Sophomore
Henric Bjelke (Oslo, Norway) was named the 2022 Big South Conference freshman of the year. He ranked 15th in the league last year with a 73.83 stroke average and had four top-25 finishes, including a T15 at the Georgetown Intercollegiate at Four Streams. He shot 78-72—150 last month in the rain-shortened Badger Invitational.
