LAS VEGAS - Cleveland State defeated Campbell 80-55 Tuesday in the Holiday Hoops Classic at South Point Arena.
Deja Williams finished with 19 points for Cleveland State (11-1)Â who extended its win streak to a program-best 11 games. Brittni Moore recorded 15 points and eight boards while Destiny Leo and Carmen Villalobos finished in double-figures with 12 and 11 points for the Vikings respectively.
Gianni Boone came off the bench to score a career-high 20 points for Campbell (5-5). Boone, who has reached double-figures in four-straight games, added six boards, four assists and four steals.
Courtney Dahlquist added 10 points for the Camels while Brittany Staves tallied seven points and five rebounds and Christabel Ezumah finished with six points, five boards and two steals.
The Vikings led 21-8 after the first quarter and 45-14 at halftime, shooting 50 percent (17-34) from the field and 60 percent (6-10) from three in the first half. Campbell trimmed the deficit to 19 points in the third quarter after outscoring the Vikings 25-13 in the period but never got any closer.
Cleveland State finished shooting 43 percent (25-58) from the field and from three (7-16) while converting 23-of-26 free throws. The Camels shot 40 percent (21-52) from the field but made just 3-of-14 threes.
The Vikings scored 36 points off 23 turnovers and held a 11-3 edge in second-chance points. Campbell finished with a slight 42-36 edge in bench points and outscored the Vikings 34-30 in the paint.
Campbell wraps up the Holiday Hoops Classic as it takes on Jacksonville State Wednesday at 4:15 PM (EST).
