BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Lakelyn Bass and Athanas Kioko set new school records as Campbell continued competition at the Weems Baskin Invitational and Raleigh Relays.
IN THE FIELD
Bass finished first overall in the women's pole vault with a mark of 3.68m (12' 0.75"), setting a new school record in the process.
A trio of Campbell men earned spots atop the podium in the men's long jump led by C.J. McBride's top mark of 7.32m (24' 0.25"). Tyrell Johnson and Shemar Miller finished tied for second after both posted marks of 7.25m (23' 9.5").
Destiny Bailey-Perkins posted a mark of 5.47m (17' 11.5") in the women's long jump invite, placing seventh overall.
ON THE TRACK
Athanas Kioko set a school record in the men's 10,000m at the Raleigh Relays, finishing the event in 28:16.11. The four-time All-American placed third overall in the event.
Germanie Bozeman finished third in the women's 100m dash with a time of 12.27 at the Weems Baskin Invite.
